The Individual 'Look':

Unlike most high-street bridesmaid dresses, ours are made in pure silks and are available made-to-measure or custom-made. In addition, Raishma's UK collection represents true individuality. One that has an 'exclusive look' yet remaining quite affordable compared to most high street prices.

Styles:

We have a wide variety of styles for you to choose from. We first look at the body shape of each bridesmaid. Then, rather than putting them all in the same style, we see which style will suit each girl individually. Our Grecian-styled dresses with draping are very popular and decidedly 'on trend' for this season.

Unlike most high-street bridesmaid dresses, we design the bridesmaids' dresses to suit the wedding-dress look and theme of the bride. For example we could create an elegant 'fifties look', with corseted bodice and a full-netted knee-length skirt. Or we could create a 'vintage look' with delicate angel see-through sleeves with a touch of beading on a full chiffon dress.

You can bring in pictures of styles you like for us to custom make the dress for you, or you can adapt the styles we have in store. Each dress is made to measure, and you will have an individual fitting once the dress arrives in store. All alterations are done in house.

Fabrics:

We can also create beautiful 'prom dress' styles, which are quite short, as well as the longer full gowns. These are in pure georgette and silk dupions and taffetas. Synthetic and pure duchess satins, organzas and chiffon fabrics are also available. Swatches of fabric are ordered for the client once the dress is ordered. Certain fabrics can be hand dyed, and the colour is selected from our colour chart.

Beading:

Most high-street bridesmaid dresses are quite plain. At Raishma’s we can offer plain and embroidered beading to complement the wedding dress.

The beading can be done with your choice of swarovski, diamantes, beads or pearls. Another alternative is to have hand embroidery; all with fine, delicate thread work and just a minimum of beading. A touch of embroidery could be added to a neckline or under the bust on the empire line to give extra detailing to the dress.

Pricing:

Our UK collection of bridesmaid dresses start from £250 upwards. Delivery time is typically three to six months; but we can do urgent orders (subject to a possible surcharge).
